World, Papal States, Rome, Innocent XII, AE medal, 1695, Palazzo Montecitorio

An early striking of this scarce medal, without the numerous die breaks on the reverse typically seen on restrikes, which were made as late as the 19th century. Palazzo Montecitorio is nowdays the seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies. 

EF+, with much red lustre, a superb piece. Rare original strike.
