Roman Provincial, Judaea, Domitian and Agrippa II, AE22, c. 85-6 AD, laureate bust of Domitian right/Nike standing right with foot on helmet, inscribing shield. 22 mm, 6.15 g. 


Herod Agrippa II ruled as King of Galilee, as well as various other client kingdoms, from 55 AD to his death towards the end of the 1st century AD. Although a Jew he supported the Romans in the Jewish War and thus kept his kingdom after the sack of Jerusalem. 

VF+, dark, glossy patina, obverse off-centre. Rare.
