British tokens, Ireland, Orange Order, a white metal medal c. 1810-20, William III on horseback

This is a standard-sized lodge medal from the Orange Order, a loyalist and Protestant supremacist society founded in Loughall, Co. Armagh in 1795. The design is by John Jones of Dublin, after Mossop; the image of William III appears to be based on the Glasgow statue of 1735. 

VF+, pierced for suspension, lustrous. Rare.
