British tokens, Ireland, possibly Derry (Londonderry), a white metal medal (47 mm) by G. Brown, c. 1820s, William III, "No Surrender" below. Reverse initialed and numbered 1399.

This medal clearly comes from a Loyalist or "Orange" fraternal organisation of the early 19th century, perhaps the Orange Order or the Apprentice Boys of Derry given the legend "No Surrender". The image of William III appears to be based on the anonymous 1735 statue in Cathedral Square, Glasgow.

about EF, a little blistered. Very rare.
