World, Papal States, Leo X (1513-21), AE memorial medal (40 mm), perhaps of the 17th century, Liberalitas Pontificia, female figure emptying cornucopia.
This medal appears to have no contemporary prototype and is rather a commemorative piece, probably of the 17th century, in a pseudo-Renaissance style. Leo X was fondly remembered for his rebuilding of St. Peter's Basilica.
VF or better, surface marks. Rare.
