Roman Imperial, Sabina (wife of Hadrian), silver denarius c. 133-5 AD, Juno standing left.

This coin is apparently unpublished and the only example known, although the reverse type was used for a contemporary rare denarius of Sabina with a different (right facing) portrait (RIC 2551). Perhaps a better comparison is a slightly earlier issue, RIC 401b which features a similar portrait of Sabina, albeit with completely different legends. In any case, an interesting issue of the highest rarity, and potentially important & worth of research in the context of the chronology of Sabina's coinage.

About VF, somewhat rough surfaces, old marks. Extremely rare, possibly unique.

RIC -, cf. 401b, 2551
