British, Yorkshire, Thorpe Park Seminary, silver medal c. 1800, turned into prefect pass

Originally an award medal, this impressive piece has been converted into a school prefect's pass, probably in the mid-19th century. The name of the seminary has been tooled out, the medal has been holed, and the originaly dedicatory inscription replaced with "DUX". The origin 

VF+, old toning, holed, edge damage. Very rare, especially with this interesting later re-use.
