This token commemorates the defense barristers and defendents in the 1794 treason trials, in which various political radicals were acquitted of politically motivated treason charges. The obverse shows the two barristers in court dress, referencing the ancient rights of the English people according to the Magna Carta, and the more modern Bill of Rights; the reverse lists the defendents.
